Chaplaincy support for our staff during COVID-19
Our chaplaincy service remains an important part of our wellbeing and support. They are there to listen and offer prayer if appropriate. They can support you with your spiritual needs relating to hope, fear and faith / belief. If you have an urgent matter, chaplains are available 24/7 through the hospital switchboard 0344 811 8111. Please ask for the on-call chaplain who will assess the situation and respond appropriately.
The Trust libraries offer a fantastic range of information and support for staff wellbeing. Although they aren’t currently staffed, the libraries are still open for staff to go to and use PCs, have some quiet time and borrow books using the self-issue process. There is a range of self-help, literature, exercise and craft books that might be particularly help at this time. Macmillan support number
Macmillan have expanded their bereavement support to include support for staff to access directly. For anyone who requires bereavement support they should contact the Macmillan team directly on 0191 2934377 to access support.

Project 5 provides free 1-2-1 confidential support sessions for NHS staff. They link you to a health professional with the skills to assist. Simply create an account here.
Duty to Care provide fee online sessions to improve and sustain mental health and wellbeing. This includes support from CBT therapists, psychotherapists, mindfulness teachers, breath work experts, nutrition coaches.
